Gestapos Cruelty and Role Played in the Holocaust
The roles of the SS,SA and the Gestapo are going to be revealed . These positions are all played in the Holocaust from 1929 to 1945. There was a very high role of cruelty and death taking in all three positions. Each played a role as for taking either a Jewââ¬â¢s life or anyone else that was considered undesirable. There will be over a million deaths just of these three positions because of the role played for the Nazi Party in Germany between that period of time involving World War 2. I The first topic is the Schutzstaffel, which is the SS. The SS was founded in April of 1925 by Adolf Hitler. The SS was discovered as a group of personal bodyguards for Hitler. The small group of the SS went from being only 300 members in 1925, to about 50,000 in 1933, because of Heinrich Himmler. Heinrich Himmler commanded the SS in 1929, to 1945 when its disintegration occurred. Between about 1934 to 1936, the SS expanded their responsibilities and gained control of Germanyââ¬â¢s police forces. Since the SS gained more responsibilities they divided into two sub-units called the Allgemeine SS (General SS) and the Waffen (Armed SS). Both of the subunits combined were about 250,000 member by 1939. One of the roles, or something they dealt with (general SS) was the local police, and with ââ¬Å"racial mattersâ⬠, and also with foreign espionage and counterintelligence. The Civil War, State Rights And Slavery - 1762 Words
When thinking about the factors that caused the Civil War, state rights and slavery were a couple. Many people know about those factors and the major roles they played during that time, but not many people consider music having a role during the American Civil War. The music created during that time affected the people, because soldiers sang, the songs created related to a specific time, and slaves even created their own type of music. The music created was not always the same for both the Union and Confederates but there were few components that both sides had. There were plenty of people who raised their voices and sang along to songs when the Civil War was occurring. Soldiers, however, were the most favored singers to the people they were surrounding. The main reason was that it rose up the people s spirits and gave them more optimistic views about the war, especially since it created that sense of national identity that brought people together; to the Confederates this was crucia l since they were a developing nation. The soldiers from both the North and South also sang for their own benefit. Music helped ease their boredom and it served as a way to pass the time, since it entertained and comforted. The songs that were sung by soldiers were a way for them to think back to any memories from back home, like family or childhood memories. Therefore, both parties should communicate with each other and compromising and get the best solution to the problem. Moreover, argument between managers and employees is also a constructive conflict. Employees argue with their managers to express their ideas and needs. So that managers would know what to do to satisfy employeesââ¬â¢ needs. For example, managers think that the stationeries are enough for all employees, but employees didnââ¬â¢t think so. So, argument between managers and employees occur in this situation. As a result, managers understand the needs of employees. Finally, in order to increase the quality of work in an organization, constructive conflict should be encouraged. Managers should focus on points of agreement and leave open a number of possibilities for the employees. They should not focus on their self-interest. For example, managers give several options for the background color of the advertisement but not to use their favorite color. We understood the importance of constructive conflict, but how should we manage a conflict into constructive way? First of all, we have to manage ourselves to deal with conflict. We should concern on three behaviors: Aggressive Behavior, Passive Behavior and Assertive Behavior. Aggressive behavior is to dominate other members of the team. People who have passive behavior, their advice and contributions are given in an apologetic way. They are quickly withdrawn if they encounter resistance and always put themselves down and rarely reach their full potential. People who have assertive behavior concerned with other peopleââ¬â¢s rights and obligations. They respect for the needs of others as well as the assertive personââ¬â¢s own needs and the right to freedom of thought. They have opinion and expression and treating others with dignity and respect. Besides, we have to manage conflict to deal with conflict. There is a style call CMS (Conflict Management Style), included avoidance, smoothing, forcing, compromising and problem solving. They are all interrelated. As a result, managing ourselves and managing conflict would finally form constructive conflict. Constructive conflict is a positive way of communication within an organization. We should not stop the conflict at the beginning because managers and colleagues could tell their needs. By expressing different point of views and arguments, both parties would know others opinions, their needs or the best solution to the problem. On August 29, 2005 the world watched in horror as Hurricane Katrina slammed into New Orleans, Louisiana. Scores of articles and reports (Congressional, etc.) purport that the levees were destined to fail from the onset. Yet despite sole responsibility for the levee failure and flooding laid squarely at the feet USACE, theà Flood Control Act of 1928 provides the federal agency sovereign immunity from financial accountability. The haunting images linger ââ¬â scores of people jammed packed in the Louisiana Superdome (26,000 people plus), floating dead bodies, men, women, and children frantically pleading for help on roof tops as helicopters repeatedly flew by. Unix essays Unix was originally developed at Bell Laboratories as a private research project by small groups of people starting 1969. The goal of this group was design an operating system that was written in a high level language rather than assembly language, allow re-use of code and be simple and elegant. Operating systems in that time were large and written in assembly language. UNIX had a small amoutnof code written in assembly language (called the kernel). The remaining code was written in a lanuage called C. As the group continued to develop UNIX , small changes were needed in the kernel and the language to allow the operating system to be completed. Through this work they worked through the kernel and software until a complete operating system was written on top of the kernel in the language C. UNIX is mysterious when you first approach it, I know I was stumped when I signed on that screen and looked at it like a lost puppy. I thought for a moment I was reading a foreign language. It tends to be a little intimidating at first glance. With a little coaxing from the voice in my head I start to click and find it is not all that foreign after all. It is rather complicated at first issuing commands like who > users_on. Nothing appears on the screen and so you think you have done something wrong.
